Cumann na mBunscol:

What is Cumann an mBunscol:
Cumann na mBunscol is a voluntary organisation of primary school teachers on the island of Ireland who promote our native games. Cumann na mBunscol Náisiúnta is now the largest sports organisation within the primary education system in Ireland.

Cumann na mBunscol Laois:

Laois Cumann na mBunscol was founded in 1988 and has gone from strength to strength in that time. There are currently 58 schools participating in Laois Cumann na mBunscol activities with a record 14 football divisions. As well as the Football / Hurling / Camóige Leagues, Cumann na mBunscol also is involved in the INTO mini-sevens, which sees the best young talent from Laois compete against seven a-side teams in Leinster. Each year there are children from Laois playing at halftimein Croke Park on All-Ireland day. Also, every Spring, schools in Laois are invited to take part in the Annual Laois Cumann na mBunscol Table Quiz, which is always a very enjoyable occasion. The future of Laois Cumann na mBunscol relies on the support and goodwill from our sponsors, schools, teachers, parents, clubs and the commitment from Laois GAA to continue to support the work of the Laois Cumann na mBunscol committee. The committee’s aims and objectives still remain the same as they did twenty two years ago; to introduce children to GAA games and to promote active involvement in those games.
